Whew!

I'm glad to get off my feet! Sarah and I have been working in the kitchen for a while cooking tonight's dinner, tomorrow's breakfast and lunch, and freezer meals. I have an excuse to get on the computer since I'm holding lil Gracie. The little imp is awake when she's supposed to be sleeping and sleeping when she is supposed to be awake.

Tomorrow, Daddy and I will be leaving at the latest nine o'clock for the conference. I've been looking forward to it for a long time and now it's finally here!

Oh, dear. Gracie is falling asleep again. I need to wake her up again.=)

Tomorrow is the First Day of the Conference!

To Do List:

-Finish packing
-Make cinnamon rolls
-Make muffins
-Freeze Strawberries
-Clean house

What I've been Up To...

I've been told by a couple people that I need to keep my blog updated while I'm here. Sorry that I don't have any pictures. I left my pain-in-the-neck camera at home so I will have to bore you with my ramblings.=)

Daddy and I left home late Sunday afternoon and got to S&S's house at about eleven or so. I went straight to bed and woke up the next morning at eight. Stephen and Daddy had already left for work and Sarah and Gracie were getting some extra sleep, so I just wondered around the quiet house. I finished a book called "Buckskin Brigade" which was about some not very well known men who were mountain men, trappers, missionaries, wagon train leaders, and pioneers. When Sar got up, we made a schedule for the rest of the week. Monday: Clean; Tuesday: Pack; Wednesday: Cook; and Thursday: Leave!

So, on Monday, we cleaned.=) Gracie had an upset tummy and wanted to be held and nursed all the time, so Sarah had her hands full! That night, I made dinner of meatloaf (my first time making it!). I left a huge pile of dishes on the counter since I was too tired to wash them and went to my room at about nine. I read for half an hour, and went to bed at nine thirty.

This morning, I woke up at six thirty and made breakfast for the guys. (Stephen helped me make hot rice cereal.) After the guys left, I read some more, then did the huge pile of dishes. Since then, I finished reading a book, and starting another.

The conference is the day after tomorrow! I'm getting really exciting and can't wait to see a lot of you all there!

At Sarah and Stephen's House Again!

I'm watching Gracie swing contentedly in her swing with "Oh Susanna" playing. Today, she's been smiling a lot and is just too cute!

The house is quiet, breakfast is over....

...and I have a couple minutes to write a post!

Ok, on Monday was Gracie's baby shower. I didn't know most of the ladies there, and I was a little uncomfortable introducing myself to a roomful of strangers. But, after a little bit, I met several very sweet girls.

That night, we were way too tired to finish Emma, so went to bed.

~~~
I can't remember what we did yesterday morning. But, after lunch, Daddy, Bekah and I looked at another house. That evening, Gracie was wide awake, so we watched about an hour and a half of Emma, but we still didn't finish it.
It's been quiet here all morning. Gracie was up late last night and so Sarah is getting some extra sleep. I see a couple dishes in the sink that should be washed, so I better go wash them.
Of All the Things to Forget...
...My shoes! Thankfully, Sarah and I have about the same size feet so I can use hers.
At S&S: Day 2 part 1
When I woke this morning, our alarm clock had been accidentally unplugged and I didn't know what time it was. But, since the sun was shining through the window and as I was wide awake, I assumed it was about eight thirty or nine. When I left the room, the clock in the living room said it was seven twenty. Oh, well, I wanted to get a lot of reading done while I am here anyway, so I read for about two hours and finished a book!! It's ten o'clock right now. Daddy and Stephen are at work. Sarah stayed up half the night with Gracie and so she's getting some sleep. Later this afternoon, we are going to head to Dufur for Sarah's baby shower the Stelzers are putting on. I'll be back soon!
At S&S: Day 1
Sunday morning: Communion Sunday, Potluck, I played the piano for church, and we were leaving for Oregon. Yes, it was very hectic at home ten minutes before we left for church. After the service, Daddy, Bekah, and I grabbed some food and headed out. (Mrs. Weese, your cheese cake cookies were SOOOO good!! And Hannah McDonald, your cake was DELICIOUS!) We first went to Wascow (I'm not sure how to spell it.=), where we looked at a house we're thinking of renting. After going on a tour, we headed to Sarah and Stephen's house. When we got here, lil' Gracie was a sleeping cutie. We unpacked the car and had late dinner, then Grace was wide awake with no intention of going back to sleep. So, Sarah, Bekah, and I watched about half of the 2009 Emma. We were too tired to finish the rest and went to bed around 1:00 a.m.
Lydia and Ruthie in 2007
They were both four there!
Wow, it's been a while since I've posted!
Everyday, I check everyone's blogs hoping to see a new post and here I am neglecting my own. Well, that will have to change.=)
Daddy and the boys have been busy getting the house ready to sell/rent. Last week, Daddy cleaned out and painted the dog shed (that was where our two old dogs, Annie and Shiloh used to sleep and the name has stuck.=), I should call the rat shed, actually.=P There, we have two freezers, old bikes and all our recycling. Today, the guys are working rotatilling the front and back yards.
Anyway, for my news.=) On Sunday, I am going to go down with Daddy and Bekah to Sarah and Stephen's and stay at least a week (maybe two!) I'll bring my camera so you'll get lots of pictures of Gracie!
Day with the Murphys
The Murphys brought us some of the flowers from their yard!
The boys playing "Battle Ship".
Ruthie talking to Lydia in Oregon.
Peter looking cute.
We decided to play doctor after dinner. We rearranged the furniture a little bit. This is "the waiting room."
Peter waiting to be checked out.
Thomas Jackson - he had difficult breathing and needed attention immediately.
"My name is Ruthie Murphy and I have pneumonia."
This young soldier was just brought from the battle field. He was shot in the chest and bleeding badly.
I didn't get a picture of Joseph Murphy, but he was shot several times in the arm and knifed in the stomach. He was our only patient whom we attempted surgery.
Sick with pneumonia.
Feeling a little better?
Administering medicine. (Orange juice.=)
Nurse Hannah.
Well...
We've decided to close down this blog. It's been hard trying to find things to post and it takes up a lot of time. As a final farewell to the blog, please leave a comment!
